My first blog

Welcome to the Unlock The Adventure Travel Agency blog. A short post to give you a little information about me/us. Unlock The Adventure Travel Agency is a travel agency that specializes in the South Pacific, Disney, Hawaii, cruises, and course other destinations.

My name is Carissa I am not a writer. I am the owner of a travel agency and I love to travel. It has been a few crazy years for me, I started a new business, sold a business, moved across the country, and of course, we have had covid around. A few years back some friends and family recommended I become a travel agent. I was always the planner and found great deals was the one that loved to travel. The story started a lot earlier than that.

Where it all began

I believe I got my love for travel at a young age. My mom and dad traveled with me when I was young. We moved around to different cities for the job my father had. I've gotten to see a lot of the country before I was a teenager. I had lots of vacations and great adventures with my mom and dad. I lost my dad eight years ago to cancer. Now I take my mom along on some of my adventures to see this great world we live in.

I get asked all the time where are you from what is your accent.

Please don’t ask where I am from or where my accent is. It’s from all over. (But I was born In Florida).

I have always loved to discover new areas and see new things.

Luckily my husband has enjoyed embracing my travel love and has grown to enjoy it as well. We both fell in love with The French Polynesian Islands. Most people do call it Tahiti but that is only one island you can also refer to it as the Tahiti islands or islands of Tahiti. Planning a trip back soon now that travel is starting up more again. There is great snorkeling, beautiful islands, and very nice people. I even found some baby chickens on the beach which I made friends with fast.

P.S. I am also an animal lover.

Where to now

Now that my children are adults I have more time to travel and see the world. Not sure why my children did not get the love for travel. But they did not even tho I had them out as babies snorkeling and traveling with us. Their favorite place is still Disney World. Which is my happy place too can't go wrong by going there. All ages of people can enjoy Disney. I was so glad that I was able to take my boys at different ages from babies to adults. We just went a few months ago with them and some close friends.

Join me as I have started this blog and travel agency in hope of meeting new people and discovering new places. Let me help you plan your Vacations and Discover something new. I want this blog to inspire you, to inform you. I hope you’ll join me on this adventure!

I would like to bring you along on my travel adventures and give you travel-related information and topics as well as destination ideas. Maybe you will get the travel bug and fall in love with travel as I have many years ago. I’ll share photos, videos, and stories from the places I visit. I’ll post tips & tricks to help you. Hopefully, inspire you to break out your passport and travel more often.
